Resume:

Research: 

　　The main research focus is the design (including composition, microstructure and stress etc.) and preparation of advanced ceramics. A series progress in science and preparation technology was made in the following areas: 

　　The strengthening and toughing of carbides, oxides as well as ceramic based composites,  

　　The colloidal processing of non-oxides,  

　　The preparation and performance research of non-oxide nano powder and metal-ceramic nano powder etc. areas. A great progress was made in the forming and preparation techniques of large scale lightweight and special optics components, the surface modification technology of advanced ceramics, the joining of ceramics, the non-destructive testing technology and the research in ultrahigh temperature ceramics. Undertaking more than 30 research projects, including National Natural Science Foundation of China, National High-tech R&D Program of China (863 Program), National Program on Key Basic Research Project of China (973 Program), various national key research projects, Main Direction Program of Knowledge Innovation of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shanghai Basic Research Project, Shanghai Key Technology Research and Development Program etc.

　　Have published more than 160 scientific papers, applied more than 30 patents with more than 20 patents authorized, compilation of 1 Enterprise Standard.
