The institute is located in the oriental pearl of China --- Shanghai. It is one of the world’s largest seaports and China’s major industrial and commercial center.

The main campus of institute is situated on Dingxi road of Changning district. Among its neighbors are the famous Zhongshan park, the Cloud-Nine shopping mall, the East China University of Political Sciences and Law, etc. It is in a convenient location with 1 metro line and 2 light way lines converging here.

The institute has another  campuse which belongs to Jia-ding District of Shanghai. It is a leading institute of inorganic materials research in China.

Getting to SICCAS :

From Pudong International Airport:

• By bus: Take the airport line 6 to Zhongshan Park, and then it will take you 5 minutes’ walk to the SICCAS.
• By metro: Take the Maglev to Longyang stop, and change to metro line 2 to Zhongshan Park. Then it’s 15 minutes’ walk to the SICCAS.

From Hongqiao International Airport:

• By bus: Take bus No.941 to Zhongshan Park, and then it will take you 5 minutes’ walk to the SICCAS.
• By taxi: It costs about 30RMB to the SICCAS.

From Shanghai Railway Station:

• By bus: Take bus No.941 and get off at Zhongshan Park. Then it will take you 10 minute’s walk to the SICCAS.
• By metro: Take light way line 3 or line 4 to Zhongshan Park. Then it’s 15 minutes’ walk to the SICCAS.
