Professor John R. Lombardi from The City University of New York visited Shanghai Institute of Ceramics
Prof. John R. Lombardi from The City University of New York visited Shanghai Institute of Ceramics Chinese Academy of Sciences (SICCAS) from July 8 to 10, 2019.
An academic and technological exchange symposium was also held. Prof. Yong Yang from the Structural Ceramics Engineering Research Center at SICCAS presided over the symposium. On the topic of SERS in semiconductors, five presentations related to surface enhanced Raman scattering, Quasi-Metals, tungsten-based semiconductors, and ultra‐sensitive semiconductor SERS substrates, etc. were discussed. Prof. Bing Zhao from Jilin University, Prof. Guangcheng Xi from Chinese Academy of Inspection and Quarantine, and over 20 students and researchers attended the symposium.
Prof. Lombardi obtained a doctor degree in 1967 in Chemistry department in Harvard University. He joined in the City College of New York (CCNY) in 1975 as an associated professor and then recruited in 1977 as a professor in the department of chemistry & biochemistry at the CCNY. Prof. Lombardi has published more than 250 articles with high qualities in many famous journals such as Nature Mater., Nat. Commun., Chem. Rev., etc,and made an excellent contribution to the field of semiconductor SERS.
Professor John R. Lombardi had a lecture on the 23th DONGSHENG FORUM
Prof. Lixin Song awarded a special certificate to Prof. Lombardi
The symposium on SERS in semiconductors was also held in SICCAS
