Michael L. Fish, the Executive Officer in charge of abrasive materials R&D in Element Six Industrial Diamonds (Abbreviated as” Element Six”), visited our institute on 14th, March, 2008. Deputy Director General Wang Dong of Science and Technology Affairs Department and the researchers concerned gave him a warm reception. After Mr. Wang introduced the main research fields of SICCAS, Mr. Fish also gave a brief introduction to Element Six and expressed his hope of strengthening academic exchange in structural ceramics and special inorganic coatings fields.

Following the meeting, the guests visited Inorganic Coating Materials Research Center, Analysis and Testing Center for Inorganic Materials and the Showroom.

Element Six, originated from De Beers Industrial Diamonds Corporation, is a world leading supplier of high quality superabrasives and industrial diamond materials, including synthetic and natural diamond and the complementary superabrasive cubic boron nitride (cBN).

Michael L. Fish made the visit in the hope of seeking for new technology cooperation and development of new super hard materials for high-end applications at home and abroad.
