Prof. Dongzhou Ding is currently a full professor and a Ph.D. supervisor of Shanghai Institute of Ceramics (SIC), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). Currently, he serves as director of R&D center of new materials, team leader and research scientist in rare earth oxide scintillation crystals laboratory in SICCAS, director of the optical crystal standardization committee, Chinese Standards for Testing and Materials (CSTM). Dedicated to achieving high spatiotemporal resolution, he focuses on structure-activity relationship of scintillation crystals with rare earth oxide components, energy transfer processes, defects in them, and also their engineering. Prof. Ding was awarded the key technical talent of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (2017), a specially appointed core researcher of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (2022), and a chief scientist of the national key research and development programof the Ministry of Science and Technology (2022).
