On 8th November, 2012, a seven-person delegation from Queensland University of Technology (QUT), including Vice-chancellor, Prof Scott Sheppard, director of IHBI, Prof Ross Young, and Prof Yin Xiao, visited SICCAS. They were invited by Prof CHANG Jiang and Prof WU Chengtie. Vice-director of SICCAS, Prof LIU Yan, warmly welcomed their visit. Prof LIU Yan then gave a detailed introduction about development history, research and education of SICCAS. Prof WU Chengtie gave a presentation about biomaterial research in SICCAS. The leaders from both sides highly praised the collaborative achievements in the past several years, and further discussed the exchange of postgraduates, joint grant application and establishment of joint research platforms. After meeting, the delegation was invited to visit the exhibition room and the labs. Their interests not only lie on the current collaboration of biomaterials research, but also on other research areas of SICCAS. Both sides wish to establish broad research collaboration in the future.
