Seminar on Industrial Applications of Synthetic Crystal Materials
Crystal Research Center of SICCAS and Changzhou Technical Bureau jointly held a seminar on industrial applications of synthetic crystals in Changzhou on April 14, 2007. About 50 people attended the seminar, including principals of Changzhou related enterprises and staff of Crystal Center. The directors of Crystal Center respectively delivered speeches on the applications and development of new crystal materials, while the principals provided some information and requests on products. They expressed great interests in these reports and had ardent discussions with the experts. Both sides expect this meeting to promote applications of SICCAS’s achievements on crystals in high-tech productions.
Then some participants talked over general issues of crystal research, such as mechanisms of crystal growth and crystal defects. During the discussion, professor. Zhong Weizhuo and Feng xiqi made brilliant speeches on “growth units model of anion coordination-polyhedra” and “radiation damage mechanism of BGO crystal”, which will further stimulate the scientific work in the center. They also expect healthy development of the crystal center and expanding applications of the crystal materials in new fields.
