Dr. Wolfgang Rossner, Dr. Ulrich Bast from department of ceramics, Corporate Technology Siemens (CTS) and Dr. Lirong Ren, Dr. Guofeng Chen from Siemens, China visited Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, CAS on May 15. 2007. Guests were warmly welcomed by Prof. Lidong Chen and Prof. Dongliang, Jiang.

Prof. Lidong Chen introduced the research fields, organization and achievements of SICCAS to the guests. Dr. Rossner and Dr. Bast also introduced the business of Siemens and the research fields of CTS, respectively. The guests discussed some interested research topics with some researchers of SICCAS, they all believed that CTS and SICCAS have many similar research fields, which might be developed a possible cooperation relationship. The guests expressed their wish to strengthen cooperation and exchange in ceramic research area in the future. Accompanied by Prof. Lidong Chen, the guests also visited the exhibition hall after discussion.
