The group of ferroelectric and piezoelectric ceramics and devices is a part of the information functional materials and devices research center，which mainly engages in the research and development of various ferroelectric, piezoelectric ceramics, film materials and devices, relating to various powders, ceramics, films and complex materials with oxygen-octahedron structure. The research content includes material synthesis science, characterization technique and the relevant devices application researching. Over the years more than 60 National and Shanghai Municipal research projects have been Accomplished by our group, including the major projects, key projects, and common projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the 863 projects, the National Major Foundation research projects, the major basic research projects, application development key projects and innovation foundation projects of CAS, Shanghai Natural Science Foundation key projects, Phosphor Shanghai Youth Science and Technology Plan, and so on. A lot of awards were obtained in this group, including the Second National Invention Award and Third Natural Science Award, and more than 40 invention patents have been licensed, nearly 240 papers have been published. Now this group is admits more than 10 scientific projects, and has obtained about tens of millions RMB funds.

The group now has a team of 24 staff. Among them are 2 professors, 6 associate professor, 10 senior engineers, and 18 PhD and master candidates.
