
Academician, CAE, Dongliang Jiang
Prof. Jiang, a distinguished materials scientist, was born in Shanghai, in September 1937. He graduated from Nanjing Chemical Engineering College in 1960 and was elected to be an academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering in 2001.
Prof. Jiang successively held the posts of the deputy director of Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, CAS, and the director of State Key Laboratory of High Performance Ceramics and Superfine Microstructures, CAS. In 1992, he was appointed member of the International Academy of Ceramics. He once worked at the University of Michigan, USA. Now, he’s the professor of Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, CAS, member of the 10th CPPCC National Committee and vice-chairman of the Chinese Materials Research Society (C-MRS).
Prof. Jiang has long been engaged in the science and engineering of inorganic materials, composites and biomaterials, which are extensively applied to various industries, such as machinery, energy, transportation, chemical industry, etc, and have reaped significant social and economic benefits for our country.
Prof. Jiang has issued about 180 academic papers and 2 books, and applied for 10 patents with 4 approved. |
