SICCAS Won CAIA Award for the First Time

Prof. WANG Zheng and his group, was awarded 2010 CAIA Science and Technology Prize by China Association for Instrumental Analysis (CAIA), for their achievements of “Research of ICP-AES/MS for the Advanced Ceramic Analysis”.

Currently, Wang’s group has eight members, and focus in investigating and developing analytical methods incorporated with AAS/ICP, plus offering the service of composition analysis and trace element analysis to interior and exterior customers,

Founded in 1986, and supported by the Ministry of Science and Technology, CAIA is a professional social organization voluntarily composed of the institutions and organizations of instrumental analysis and other related fields through out China, and currently CAIA has 172 members.

CAIA established two prizes,
(1) The BCEIA Gold Prize to be awarded to the object instrument chosen from the exhibits participating in every session of BCEIA with the aim to encourage the technical innovation of home made science instrument.
(2) The CAIA Science and Technology Prize, which had been registered at the National Science and Technology Awarding Office with the aim to encourage the outstanding achievements of research result on instrumental analysis by the member bodies.
