SICCAS hosted summer social practice activities for students from multiple universities

In the summer of 2023, Shanghai Institute of Ceramics played host to nearly 500 students and faculty from several prestigious universities, including Tsinghua University, University of Science and Technology of China, Fudan University, Zhejiang University, Xiamen University, Shanghai University of Applied Sciences, and Shanghai University of Engineering and Technology. During their visit, the institute meticulously tailored its tours and presentations to match the research requirements and academic backgrounds of the visiting students. This approach provided a comprehensive and multi-faceted view of the institute's developmental history, research capabilities, and overall ethos. It served as a valuable opportunity for the visiting students to gain insight into the institute's rich heritage and scientific prowess.

The exhibition hall in SICCAS served as a focal point for showcasing the institute's developmental journey, research areas, and technological accomplishments. The exhibition underscored the institute's unwavering commitment to addressing national needs and independently tackling challenging issues since its inception. In the realm of inorganic materials, it has consistently set benchmarks, achieving "firsts" and "NO.1" positions.

In addition, during the summer practice program, students were given the opportunity to step inside the laboratories, allowing them to have close interactions with researchers and experience the research atmosphere firsthand. The institute also organized a series of research lectures, aimed at encouraging students to pursue scientific knowledge, nurture scientific aptitude, and work together as a unified force in the pursuit of scientific endeavors for our nation.
