In order to help graduate students understand the job-hunting direction of their majors and enhance the employment awareness of graduate students, on the afternoon of June 9, 2023, the Party branch of 2019 graduate students and the Party branch of 2021 graduate students jointly held  job-hunting experience sharing meeting named "Silicates Enter The Workplace, The Job Comes And Goes" in Jiading Park. This sharing meeting is also one of the contents of the "I do practical things for the masses" of the two branches. This meeting invited five graduating students from the class of 2018 and 2020 to share their experience in the job-hunting process to help prepare and plan for future employment development. More than 40 people participated in the sharing meeting, both online and offline.

At the beginning of the experience sharing meeting, Pengfei Qiu, secretary of the Party Branch of the 2019 graduate students, gave an Opening address. The employment situation of graduate students is more severe this year, and the employment situation of different universities is also different. It is very important and necessary to invite students who have found good jobs to share their job-hunting experience, especially for the 2019 graduate students who will graduate next year.

The first person to share was Zhiqian Hou, a PhD student from the class of 2020. From the perspective of his own scientific research experience during the doctoral period, he said that the most important thing in scientific research is to keep your own pace. make plans in advance, execute tasks flexibly, and do not waste the most efficient prime time. At the same time, he also shared the situation of postdoctoral application at home and abroad in detail.

The second was Zhicheng Jin, a successive postgraduate and doctoral programs student from the class of 2018. Starting from the job-hunting timeline one year before graduation, he shared six directions including personal intention, resume preparation, resume delivery, recruitment information, interview skills and offers. At the same time, he also shared the resources that can be used in the job-hunting process (e.g. enterprise public number, university public number, alumni inquiry network), the companies that can submit resumes in the semiconductor field (e.g. HUAWEI, XIAOMI, CXMT), and the job-hunting experience of HUAWEI, XIAOMI, CXMT and other large companies throughout the time period. He said that the most important thing in the recruitment process is the learning attitude, and we should show a willing to learn when we encounter problems in the recruitment process. The second is to prepare in advance, especially to arrange the time allocation for interviews in the process of scientific research and job-hunting.

The third was Xi Chen, a bachlor-straight-to-doctorate student from the class of 2018, who shared his tips on self-introduction template, job delivery, personality test, professional test, professional interview, personnel interview and job-hunting progress, etc. The most important thing is to be confident, sincere, consistent and focused in your answers.

The fourth was Honghe Mu, a master student from the class of 2020, who shared four processes from job-hunting preparation, resume delivery, written examination, and selection and signing. Be firm in your choice, choice is everywhere, especially from the failure of master to doctor, mental internal consumption becomes more, whether to continue to study a PhD or find a suitable job to make a decision in advance. It is easy to lose some job opportunities if you hesitate. Grasp the spring recruitment, and timely track the recruitment information of enterprises.

The fifth is Ming Li, a master student from the class of 2020. She started with a brief introduction of herself and then shared her job-hunting experience. To start early preparation, according to the needs and popular directions to choose multiple tracks to send resumes and conduct adequate interview preparation for the company. Personal profile needs to be practiced repeatedly in advance, confidently show personal strengths, and show positive, active and optimistic attitude. In the interview, answer questions simply and clearly, and relate to your own relevant project.

The whole experience sharing meeting lasted for about two hours.
