Shanghai Institute of Ceramics' postgraduates participated in the Graduate Academic Forum of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Material Science and Engineering Sub-forum
From the 28th to the 29th of 2023, the Graduate Academic Forum of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Material Science and Engineering Sub-forum, organized by the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences and hosted by the School of Materials and Optoelectronic Technology, was successfully held at the Yanqi Lake Campus of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. This forum focused on eight themed sub-forums, including "Information Functional Materials," "Advanced Ceramic Materials," "Biomedical Materials," "Energy Storage Materials," "New 'Dual Carbon' Materials," "Optoelectronic Functional Materials," "Advanced Materials and Artificial Intelligence," and "Functional and Environmental Materials," discussing the latest original basic research in China and exploring cutting-edge academic topics.
During the two-day forum, the students engaged in academic exchanges, exchanged ideas, and made friends with students from other training units of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. Among them, eight students, Bai Jialin, Chen Lei, Chen Shuhan, Dai Meiqi, Lin Aiming, Lu Bowen, Zhang Yanyan, and Zhou Cuicui, were awarded the "Excellent Presentation Award" for their outstanding reports at the forum.
Under the meticulous arrangement of the organizing committee, the students visited the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the "Two Bombs and One Satellite" Memorial Hall on the morning of the 29th, reflecting on the struggles of the older generation of scientists for the scientific cause of New China. This experience deepened the students' understanding of the weight behind the phrase, "If you have any questions about the country, ask me; I am there for the rise of our nation."
